This last Saturday Jake and I helped out with the Neighborhood Outreach at the Agape Home (for abused girls). I lead a couple of songs with my guitar and encouraged one of the girls who lives there and is very talented to sing with me. It was a wonderful time as the kids and adults heard and responded to the gospel message!
Sunday I helped the Worship Team at Paradise Community Center and did special music. Monday was our last day at the Orphanage before we leave Puerto Vallarta. We will miss the kids as I know they will miss us. Our mission and ministry efforts have come to end and we are looking forward to seeing family and friends back home! We’ll miss everyone in Puerto Vallarta and hope to be back!

Friday, March 19th, 2010The Worship in Paradise Church who has just changed their name to Paradise Community Centre had a Potluck after the Sunday service in their new facility. I sang and played as people enjoy the amazing assortment of food. There were approximately 189 people in attendance. On Wednesday the WOW women met, I led worship and it was great to see the women connect and be led by the Spirit in worship.
Fun Times at Casa Hogar Orphanage
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010Jake and I are spending time at the Casa Hogar Orphanage on Monday’s and Thursday’s. We are having a great time with the kids, teaching them English on Monday’s and having a fun time on Thursday’s play day! This last Monday I went with my guitar and taught them a simple song called “When We All Get Together”. They were so excited to see a guitar and to sing along with me! It sure is easy to get attached to the kids and sometimes it’s hard to leave.
Arrived Safely in P.V.
Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010We arrived safely in Puerto Vallarta on Thursday, February 25th. We have been keeping busy with friends here on vacation, and ministry. Sunday I sang with the worship team at Paradise Churches new location, Jake helped with the sound and all went well, even without a previous practice! It was a great service!! Their new location is an answer to prayer! Monday we went with our friends Ed and Rita to help His Will, His Way Ministries teach English at the Casa Hogar Orphanage and love on the kids. It was fun! Tomorrow I will be going to a worship practice to prepare for Sunday’s service. Thursday will take us back to the Orphanage and Saturday we’ll be at the Agape Home for abused girls. Will let you know more soon!

Mission Report
Sunday, February 14th, 2010We got home safely from Mexico on February 5th. We’ve seen family and friends and have been on the go ever since! We will be going back to Puerto Vallarta again for another month of mission work on the 25th. Today we gave a Mission Report at our home church – Pacific Community Church to let them know of all the wonderful work the Lord is doing through us in P.V. We are blessed to have their support! Thank you!
Women’s “Tapestry” Event
Thursday, January 28th, 2010Tomorrow, January 29th, at 10 a.m., I will be speaking and singing at a Women’s “Tapestry ” Event here in Puerto Vallarta. It will be at the Casa Isabel Hotel and Restaurant. A wonderful location with an amazing view of the ocean and bay. I’ll be speaking about “Friendship”… keep me in your prayers!
Missions in Puerto Vallarta
Thursday, January 21st, 2010On Saturday Jake and I went to the Agape Home for abused women. His Will, His Way Ministries was doing an outreach and I was asked to accompany the singing. We got to meet and speak with those who attended and who heard the gospel story. Jake and I also presented the Director a bag of pillows for the girls that were made by Jake’s mom. It was a great time!
On Monday we went to the Casa Hogar Orphanage where His Will His Way Ministries also works. We went with friends from Manitoba who were on vacation and had the opportunity to help them with the English classes. The setting is much different than in a regular school and these kids have a different life in the orphanage so it can be challenging but very rewarding.
We also took some time to be with the babies who are so cute, our hearts go out to them especially to the ones who have just recently seen there parents and are feeling abandoned. These are some wonderful opportunities to share God’s love.
Preparations for Missions
Friday, January 1st, 2010Preparing to lead worship at Paradise Church, sing and get involved with Women’s Ministry in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. My husband and I will be there in January and will return again later in February. Both of us will also teach and love on the kids at the Casa Hogar Orphanage and at the Agape Home for Women. Look forward to having a full, fun, and fulfilling ministry there! I will try to keep you informed!
Christmas Concert
Thursday, November 19th, 2009This week has been a little overwhelming with tasks, meetings, songwriting, concert prep and not so good news regarding my niece who has cancer. My heart goes out to her and the families.
This Friday, November 20th at 6:30 p.m. I’m looking forward to doing a Christmas Concert for a Banquet at the Richmond Community Church in Richmond, B.C.
